More Than 40% of Devices Android Lead Kitkat, and Only 3.3% Are Updated to Lollipop

We already have newly taken from the oven data of the distribution of Android versions for the month of March we practically just started. As it is now usual, versions data have been collected from devices that have been connected to Google Play in the last seven days.

As the last month, Android 4.4 Kitkat and Android 5.0 Lollipop are the only versions that continue to expand in the market, so there is also many surprises. 40.9% of Android devices are updated to Kitkat versus 39.7% last month and see as Lollipop is now more than twice as many devices, from 1.6% to 3.3%, the latest version of Android that growing has had to be.

Other versions are still in decline already habitual. 4.3 Android is at 5.9% (formerly 6.3%), Android 4.2 is at 19.4% (formerly 19.8%), Android 4.1 is 17.3% (formerly 18.4%), Android 4.0 is at 5.9% (formerly 6.4%), Android 2.3 is at 6.9% (7.4% previously) and Android 2.2 is maintained with 0.4%.

Over the coming months we will see how finally Android 5.0 Lollipop begins to expand with greater speed, thanks to the ranges of 2014 and updates to the new generation of devices that are already coming to the market with the new version of Android.
