I’ve always been curious to know what is fed by the head to a designer hours before a parade. It must be a feeling similar to that we have felt all the hours before an important exam: nerves, that pass the bad time and above all, feeling the need of wanting to make the cut and make it well.
I estrené in Mensencia a just year ago showing images of the parades of Giorgio Armani and Jean Paul Gaultier backstage for the Milan fashion week and now I’ve come with a documentary recorded with a simple mobile phone by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. The Italian duo shows the world what is happening on the backstage of her fashion shows just one hour before the staging of the collection. Do not miss to much care for this Italian duo of detail.
Entirely recorded with a mobile phone, the video gives a close point of view, because it really shows what the eyes of designers: tweaks them to models, prestaging, photographs to promote the collection… Everything is collected in this documentary entitled Santa Cecilia.
You can see the complete this graphic document worthy of admiration on Swide.com web. We hope that the initiative of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana is followed by more than one designer so that we can see the moments before the parade of all the collections in Milan. Is not surprising that the staging of the collection fall-winter 2011 / 2012 duo was so very bright.
How about the idea of Dolce & Gabbana?
