Finish with acrylic and polyester? Use your power as a consumer!

following on from that I am on Facebook presented fashion case Let the body breathe: Summer tops in comfortable materials with the following words:

“Packages you yourself with synthetic materials such as acrylic and polyester, you can be sure you great sweating in a hot summer day, really got going. Here you get explanation on why + eight over parts of the materials that your body can breathe in ”

wrote a reader in the comments box:

How do we get the designers to make it (vehicle, ed.) in some other substance?

the answer to this question is quite simple:
We let the worse with buying clothes that are made in the artificial materials.

If there is no demand for polyester and acrylic, it will be a matter of time before producers stop to offer clothing in

these materials.

customers will have cheap clothes
I have several times used this opportunity to ask the sellers and designers behind the Danish plus-marks, why most of their collections will be made in exactly the materials, as bodies in General, and thick bodies in particular have so hard to breath in.

Their responses have been unequivocally: that is what customers want! Not because customers directly asking for polyester and acrylic, but because customers want cheap clothes. And the cheap clothes are made of plastics, which are cheaper to produce than, for example, viscose and cotton.

a salesperson from a smaller brand has told me that one of her customers refused to buy clothes in the natural and more expensive materials, on the grounds that her thick customers will not buy the more expensive clothes, because they were in the process of losing weight and only really want to spend money on clothes when they had lost them.

A design from one of the larger Danish brands have reported that they are in each collection has items in natural materials, but they very rarely will be put into production, because the shops will not have vehicle – again, referring to the fact that their customers do not buy clothes in the natural materials, because it is too expensive.

Quality instead of quantity
There may be many good reasons why we buy the cheap clothes. Economy, a trend that we want to test without it costing too much to be wrong, or that we are short and sweet is not aware of, the materials, our purchases are made by.

But no matter what, it is us, as consumers, with our purchase helps to determine what that ends up in stores. And if we buy clothes based on that it must be cheap, so are the clothes in the cheap, artificial materials that end up on the shelves in stores.

I can not in any way tell me free for synthetic fabrics hanging on hoops in my wardrobe. But unlike in the past where I just would have most clothes for the fewest possible money, I am today much more conscious of what materials I buy. Today I would like to buy smaller clothes in better quality, which in the long run could turn out to be much cheaper. You can read more about in the article avoid cheap impulse purchases will be an expensive pleasure where I among other things introduces the concept of cost per wear – the article found here

PS. I know it well. It is not easy to find plus-clothing in natural materials. The starting point of fashion case, I mention at the beginning of this column, was to find nine chic tops in 100 percent cotton. The mission I gave up quickly and may expand to also include peaks in viscose. All the more reason why we are shouting up with our future tøjkøb and buy more clothes in natural materials.
