Xiaomi has met expectations and has presented an updated version of its most powerful smartphone: the Xiaomi M2S It will come in two versions, and in both cases will have a few smartphones vying in power with the latest giants such as Samsung, HTC or Sony devices.
The Xiaomi M2S will replace the successful Mi2 as flagship of the company, and we have at our disposal the model of 16 GB capacity for 1,999 yuan (247 euros) and 32 GB by 2,299 yuan (284 euros) model. In addition to the capacity, both models will be differentiated in the integrated rear camera.
Thus, while the 16 GB model will feature the second generation of sensor 8 Mpixel (which has an opening best, f/2.2), with a capacity of 32 GB model will be with a 13 Mpixel sensor.
In both cases the selected processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7 GHz Xiaomi said that it reached 25.913 points on AnTuTu, which would be a slight superiority in this test with respect to the Samsung Galaxy S4, which according to the firm reaches 25.446 points in that race. The terminal is governed by MIUI v5, the customized version of Android from this manufacturer which is also available in the M2A Xiaomi.
In the other options we have a terminal similar to its predecessor, with 2 GB of RAM and a 4.3 inch 720 p screen that surprise by not to yield to that fashion integrate 5 inch 1080 p displays. That may be one of the keys in order to maintain the price, but can be that some users are disappointed by a density of screen somewhat lower than that of their competitors, which nonetheless remains remarkable, nothing less than 342 ppp facing them, for example, the iPhone 5 326.
As indicated in GizChina, for the time being responsible for Xiaomi they do not mention the presence of a NFC chip in this terminal, which is rather strange considering that the lower model, the M2A, yes has this capability. The battery is of 2,000 mAh, although they will offer an optional 3,000 mAh battery.
Other features of interest are the support USB OTG, WiFi Display and WiFi Direct, MHL, Dolby sound or call “dual Wisdom antenna” that theoretically offers optimized reception of voice connections and data our operators.
