Appanoose County is a county located in the state of Iowa. As of 2000, the population is 13,721. Its county seat is Centerville, Iowa.

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,337 km² (516 mi²). 1,285 km² (496 mi²) of it is land and 52 km² (20 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.89% water.
