Howard County is a county located in the state of Iowa. As of 2000, the population is 9,932. Its county seat is Cresco, Iowa.

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,227 km² (474 mi²). 1,226 km² (473 mi²) of it is land and 1 km² (0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.08% water.
