Sioux County is a county located in the state of Iowa. As of 2000, the population is 31,589. Its county seat is Orange City, Iowa.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,991 km² (769 mi²). 1,989 km² (768 mi²) of it is land and 2 km² (1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.09% water.

Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 31,589 people, 10,693 households, and 8,062 families residing in the county. The population density is 16/km² (41/mi²). There are 11,260 housing units at an average density of 6/km² (15/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 97.33% White, 0.20% Black or African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.59% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 1.20% from other races, and 0.53% from two or more races. 2.56% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 10,693 households out of which 36.80% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.40% are married couples living together, 4.20% have a female householder with no husband present, and 24.60% are non-families. 22.20% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.40% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
