Mitchell County (standard abbreviation: MC) is a county located in the state of Kansas. As of 2000, the population is 6,932. Its county seat is Beloit, Kansas.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,861 km² (719 mi²). 1,813 km² (700 mi²) of it is land and 49 km² (19 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.62% water.
