Sabine Parish is a parish located in the state of Louisiana. The parish seat is Many and as of 2000, the population is 23,459.
Geography
The parish has a total area of 2,620 km2 (1,012 mi2). 2,241 km2 (865 mi2) of it is land and 379 km2 (146 mi2) of it is water. The total area is 14.46% water.

Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 23,459 people, 9,221 households, and 6,593 families residing in the parish. The population density is 10/km2 (27/mi2). There are 13,671 housing units at an average density of 6/km2 (16/mi2). The racial makeup of the parish is 72.67% White, 16.87% Black or African American, 7.79% Native American, 0.15% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.32% from other races, and 2.18% from two or more races. 2.74% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 9,221 households out of which 31.40% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.70% are married couples living together, 12.00% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.50% are non-families. 26.00% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.80% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.50 and the average family size is 3.00.
In the parish the population is spread out with 26.20% under the age of 18, 8.30% from 18 to 24, 24.50% from 25 to 44, 24.40% from 45 to 64, and 16.50% who are 65 years of age or older.
