Lake County is a county located in the state of Minnesota. As of 2000, the population is 11,058. Its county seat is Two Harbors.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 7,746 km² (2,991 mi²). 5,437 km² (2,099 mi²) of it is land and 2,309 km² (892 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 29.81% water.

As of the census of 2000, there are 11,058 people, 4,646 households, and 3,140 families residing in the county. The population density is 2/km² (5/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 97.99% White, 0.10% Black or African American, 0.70% Native American, 0.18% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.14% from other races, and 0.88% from two or more races. 0.57% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
