Webster County is a county located in the state of Mississippi. As of 2000, the population is 10,294. Its county seat is Walthall.

As of the census of 2000, there are 10,294 people, 3,905 households, and 2,877 families residing in the county. The population density is 9/km² (24/mi²). There are 4,344 housing units at an average density of 4/km² (10/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 77.55% White, 20.93% Black or African American, 0.11% Native American, 0.17% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.84% from other races, and 0.39% from two or more races. 1.69% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
