The Kingdom of Morocco is located in the northwest of the African continent. The shores of Morocco are washed by the waters of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea, and only the Strait of Gibraltar, 14 kilometers wide, separates Europe from Europe. Morocco covers an area of 710,850 square kilometers. The length of the Atlantic coast is 2900 km, and the Mediterranean coast is 500 km.
The first mention of Morocco dates back to prehistoric times. It is not surprising that there are a variety of ancient monuments here – the ruins of the ancient Roman buildings of Volubilis, the masterpieces of Arab architecture in Marrakesh and Fez from the time of Moorish rule over Spain, medieval buildings whose vaults remind us of the streets of European cities.

To enter Morocco, you must have a foreign passport and a visa, which will be processed by our agency. You can get from Moscow to Morocco by Aeroflot planes, as well as by planes of other airlines: KLM, Lufthansa, Air France, Alitalia. The international airport is located 30 km from the city of Casablanca. Flights within Morocco are operated by Royal Air Maroc. There is a sea connection between Spain and Morocco (from Gibraltar to Tangier – 2 hours 30 minutes, to Sebt – 1 hour 30 minutes), from the Canary Islands to the city of Agadir, from Sete (France) to Tangier – 36 hours.
Islam –the official religion in Morocco, but the freedom of other religions is guaranteed by the constitution.
The official language is Arabic, but with various local dialects. French, as a second language, is the most popular for communication, followed by Spanish and English. The monetary unit is the dirham. You can exchange currency in banks. Official exchange rate against the US dollar: 1$ approximately 10 Dh.
You can move around the country by bus, taxi or car, which can be rented from numerous agencies. All major cities are connected by rail.
Morocco is unusually rich in traditions and folk crafts. During the year, 18 festivals and fiestas are held here in all parts of the country. For tourists, excursions to the sites of archaeological excavations of ancient cities, as well as visits to national museums, the museum of Islamic art can be of undoubted interest. The diversity of cultures and characteristics in the regions is reflected in the development of Moroccan folklore, which will amaze you with colorful costumes, typical dances, and peculiar customs.
The national cuisine is distinguished by a wide choice of dishes: salads, Pastila, fish and other seafood, Couscous, Tajin, as well as many dishes of French, Spanish and Arabic cuisine. The national drink is chilled mint tea.
As for shopping, for a European, handicrafts are still the best souvenir – carpets, leather items, ceramics, jewelry made of gold and silver. In addition, in Morocco at quite affordable prices you can buy the same thing as in the expensive resorts of Nice and the Bahamas.
Morocco is a great place to relax, both in summer and in winter. Climatic conditions vary from Mediterranean in the north to subtropical in the south. There are regions located directly in the Sahara desert, as well as the mountainous regions of the Atlas, where the climate is accordingly dictated by the relief features of the terrain.
