Sheridan County is a county located in the state of North Dakota. As of 2000, the population is 1,710. Its county seat is McClusky.

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,605 km² (1,006 mi²). 2,517 km² (972 mi²) of it is land and 88 km² (34 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.38% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 1,710 people, 731 households, and 515 families residing in the county. The population density is 1/km² (2/mi²). There are 924 housing units at an average density of 0/km² (1/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 99.24% White, 0.12% Black or African American, 0.41% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.06% from other races, and 0.18% from two or more races. 0.35% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
