Atoka County is a county located in the state of Oklahoma. As of 2000, the population is 13,879. Its county seat is Atoka.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,564 km² (990 mi²). 2,534 km² (978 mi²) of it is land and 30 km² (12 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.18% water.

As of the census of 2000, there are 13,879 people, 4,964 households, and 3,504 families residing in the county. The population density is 5/km² (14/mi²). There are 5,673 housing units at an average density of 2/km² (6/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 75.86% White, 5.86% Black or African American, 11.37% Native American, 0.23% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.58% from other races, and 6.09% from two or more races. 1.41% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
