Woodward County is a county located in the state of Oklahoma. As of 2000, the population is 18,486. Its county seat is Woodward.


According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 3,227 km² (1,246 mi²). 3,218 km² (1,242 mi²) of it is land and 10 km² (4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.30% water.

As of the census of 2000, there are 18,486 people, 7,141 households, and 5,077 families residing in the county. The population density is 6/km² (15/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 92.23% White, 1.10% Black or African American, 2.07% Native American, 0.48% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 2.50% from other races, and 1.60% from two or more races. 4.85% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
