Hyde County is a county located in the state of South Dakota. As of 2000, the population is 1,671. Its county seat is Highmore.

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,244 km² (867 mi²). 2,230 km² (861 mi²) of it is land and 15 km² (6 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.65% water.
