Crockett County is a county located in the state of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 4,099. Its county seat is Ozona. Crockett County is named for David Crockett, the legendary frontiersman who died at the Battle of the Alamo.

The racial makeup of the county is 76.34% White, 0.68% Black or African American, 0.59% Native American, 0.27% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 19.71% from other races, and 2.39% from two or more races. 54.70% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
