Donley County is a county located in the state of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 3,828. Its county seat is Clarendon. Donley is named for Stockton P. Donley, a frontier lawyer.

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,417 km² (933 mi²). 2,408 km² (930 mi²) of it is land and 8 km² (3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.35% water.
