Schleicher County is a county located in the state of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 2,935. Its county seat is Eldorado. The county is named for Gustav Schleicher, a surveyor and politician.


According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 3,395 km² (1,311 mi²). 3,394 km² (1,311 mi²) of it is land and about 1 km² of it is water.
