Stonewall County is a county located in the state of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 1,693. Its county seat is Aspermont. The county is named for Thomas Jonathan “Stonewall” Jackson, the famous Confederate General.

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,383 km² (920 mi²). 2,379 km² (919 mi²) of it is land and 4 km² (2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.17% water.
